Case Study: Aria

Interior design specialists, Aria, were seeking a theme upgrade and website redesign, using Shopify 2.0 to enable full customisation of page templates and brand storytelling with integrated multimedia, editorial features and improved search and discovery tools. We set about designing the new site using Shopify’s built-in theme editor, integrating app embeds for enhanced functionality. We delivered the project from start to finish, including page layouts, art direction, content design, copywriting and merchandising for 1,500 products.

Project Overview:

  • We designed a new home page layout to enhance brand storytelling and enrich product discovery with multi-media integration and editorial content sections. Key USPs were highlighted including delivery and physical showroom locations. Video and shoppable styled images were integrated across the site to bring products to life.

  • Created a series of new brand-focused pages, including About Us, Visit Our Stores, Heritage, and Meet the Team, to strengthen the brand story and improve customer engagement. For this multi-brand retailer, we also designed a dedicated page to showcase key designers, making brand discovery easier.

  • Designed a multi-tiered navigation system with product collections and sub-collections, alongside enhanced filtering and search functionality to improve product discovery and create a more intuitive shopping experience.

  • Integrated a product variant selection tool featuring over 200 fabric and material options, enabling customers to fully customise furniture products with a wide range of fabrics, sizes, and finish options.

  • Created dedicated landing pages to promote the client's in-house interior design service, including the integration of an online booking system and calendar, allowing customers to schedule one-to-one consultations with an interior designer.

  • Integrated a product customisation app with over 200 fabric and material options, allowing customers to personalise upholstered sofas, lounge chairs and storage.

  • Integrated upselling features, including a “Pair It With” section and related products carousel, encouraging customers to discover complementary and similar items.

  • Enhanced the shopping experience with rich multimedia content, including product videos and shoppable lifestyle imagery that brought products to life, showcased key features and inspired customers through real-world room settings.
